London: Faber & Faber, 1984. 1st . Hardcover. Fine/Dust Jacket Included. First printing, UK edition. 8vo, hardcover, dustjacket. Bright, unworn, very tight fresh text with no real flaws. No names, no wear, no soiling. Dj is not clipped, no wear, no tears, not faded, very minor crease near head of spine, barely noticeable. A superb example of the scarce UK edition, appears unread. It is doubtful that a better copy could be found.
Synopsis
The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1984), by Milan Kundera, is a philosophic novel about a man and his two women and their lives in the Prague Spring of the Czechoslovak Communist period in 1968. Although written in 1982, the novel was not published until two years later, in France; the Czech: Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí and French: l'Insoutenable légèreté de l'être titles are the more common worldwide.
