David Bogue, London., 1881. First U.K. edition. Octavo. pp [ii], xviii, 192, 32 (adverts). Illustrations by F. Church and J. Moser. Original pictorial cloth lettered in gilt. On the front pastedown is the 1887 bookplate of the historian and Pepysian scholar Joseph Robson Tanner, with his ownership inscription on the front free endpaper and on the verso of the endpaper is the bookplate of the poet and publisher Felix Dennis. Cloth just a little rubbed at head and tail of spine. Minor crack at inner front hinge. Very good bright copy.
