London: Cassell and Company. 1904. 256pp. + [25] photographic plates. Hard bound. No dust jacket. In the original red cloth with white lettering and "rising sun" decoration. Some light foxing internally. Light wear at either end of spine. Also light rubbing of front cover. Otherwise a very good, tight, clean copy. Ethel Mc Caul was on a visit to inspect the work of the Red Cross Society of Japan.
