The dust jacket is very good with light wear to the extremeties and a slight wrinkle to the bottom of the rear panel. Here, in his last completed masterpiece, Dylan Thomas gave fullest expression to his sense of the "Daedal Dance of life." Under Milk Wood is a "ceremonial portrait" of the circle of a spring day in a small Welsh coast town. It begins with dreams and ghosts before dawn, moves through the brilliant noisy day of the villagers, and closes as the "rain of dusk" brings on the bawdy night. The complete text is published here for the first time, as it was established by his literary executors, and broadcast by the B.B.C. This volume includes a frontispiece photograph of the author by Rollie McKenna, a preface by Daniel Jones, the Welsh composer and possibly the closest friend of the late poet, notes on the pronunciation of Welsh names, and Jones' music for the songs.
