Inscribed by the author on the right front flyleaf, "To Harry Hodgson in grateful remembrance of all he has done for me Preston Brooks August 2, 1961." Different previous owner bookplate pasted down on the right front flyleaf. This book was self published. The author who was a history professor at the University of Georgia gives thanks in the preface to Ralph Stevens, Director of the University Press of Georgia, for his assistance in this publication. However, the University of Georgia did not publish this book.
