The artist/illulstrator's first successful book in 1879, this is a reprint from Avenel Books c. mid-1970s (no date in book, but ISBN present). See our other listing for a British reprint, but with no DJ #016446). Contains 44 poems with 93 full-color illustrations, in 63 pages. The slim hardcover with brilliant blue cloth-covered boards & gilt design to front/lettering to spine is in VG+ condition: completely clean, binding straight & strong, pages white, colors bright. Former owner's name in red pen on ffep, which is also clipped at the top outer corners; no other writing, underlining, or highlighting; NOT ex-lib. Only other flaw is very slight rubbing to bottom edges. The unclipped DJ is truly Fine, virtually flawless!Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
