This copy is INSCRIBED by the author on first free end page "To Dayne Webb, in appreciation and with my best wishes." Book slightly shelf cocked, wearing on spine ends, sunning on spine ends, and slight discoloration on spine, front board, paste downs, and free end pages. DJ near fine except for slight wearing along edges, slight chipping on bottom spine end, slight sunning along edges, and a few tiny nicks on top front edge. DJ price reads "$5.95". We will provide a certificate of authenticity for this item. Book comes in specially made cloth slip cover.
Synopsis
Ross Macdonald's real name was Kenneth Millar. Born near San Francisco in 1915 and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Millar returned to the U.S. as a young man and published his first novel in 1944. He served as the President of the Mystery Writers of America and was awarded their Grand Master Award, as well as the Mystery Writers of Great Britain's Silver Dagger Award. He died in 1983.
