List of subscribers. list of 318 subscribers.We believe this is a rare first edition, 1773, according to the British Museum which was printed in only 1 volume. The title page does indicate a presumptive printing of the second volume containing the New Testament, but it is not part of this copy, nor are there any indications that this was printed with the New Testament contents. However, all of the charts, indexes, etc are contained. Which allows us to conclude that this was the complete first, with the second printing in 2 volumes, re-issued in 1774. There are several minuscule tears which can be easily repaired with archival tape. There is also, occasional foxing, here and there spotting, and a few creases. Top of age toned. Some of the plates are age spotted. As a bonus, included are several pages of writing. 1. Loosely inserted is a handwritten page of "Family Merchandise" dated 1833, New York, written by William Pittman. 2. In verso of the GATES OF GAZA print, in the JUDGES section, there is a neatly written brief family history containing birth, death and marriage data for the SMITH -PITTMAN's between the years 1776 - 1804.
