Edward Hulme, F.L.S, F.S.A. (The author is also contemporarily credited as Frederick Edward Hulme.) Mr. Hulme is also the author of the Preface. Sea-Weeds as Objects of Design by S.J. Mackie, F.G.S, F.S.A. The Crystals of Snow as Applied to the Purposes of Design by James Glaisher, F.R.S. The Symmetrical and Ornamental Forms of Organic Remains by Robert Hunt, F.R.S. (Think sea shells as "organic remains." 8vo sized decorative brown cloth boards with black and gilt designs and titles and bevelled edges. Sewn binding. Gilt edges all around. 212 toned pages with numerous black and white woodcut illustrations. A several-pge publisher's catalogue of other works follows. Dark green endpapers and rare publisher's stamp inside back cover. Worn corners. Sunned spine has chips to top and bottom and tear all along far side. Rubbed covers. Stain from probable rubber cement mend to pastedown opposite title page. Penciled price on fep. Shaken. We note penciled numbers in the inner margin of page xi and a tiny stain in the margin of the Contents page. Additional shipping and handling charges required.
