About This Item

The First UK printing published by Hamish Hamilton, London in 1960. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light spotting and toning to the text-block. A neat previous owner's name to the front blank end-paper. Light offsetting to the end-papers. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. The colouring to the spine remains bright. A little age related marking to the rear panel and a neat penned '505 ROS' to the upper front flap edge. A tiny amount of edge wear at the upper front spine fold. The wrapper looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. One of the scarcest of the Maclaren-Ross titles especially with the wrapper in such collectible condition. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
