Illustrator: van Dyck, Sir Anthony. undated (c.1910), original hardcover binding, gilt titles on cream cloth spine, light puple paper covered boards with dark purple design & words - Newnes' Art Library - (repeated in black on half-title page), sepia frontis. lacks tissue guard, vignette in green on title page, 12 page introduction by Stokes plus a detailed 29 page list of major works followed by 64 b/w. illusts., there is light foxing to the borders & reverse of frontis., bumping to corners, the paper covered boards are exceptionally bright with only tiny scuff marks on the bottom corner of front & rear covers.
