Very Good. 1948 Macmillan Canadian 1st edition, Near Fine/Very Good-minus DJ in Mylar, price-clipped dustjacket has small triangular-shaped piece missing at heel, a few short tears & rubs, in new Mylar, clean unmarked text, firm corners, sound binding.

Toronto: The Macmillan Company of Canada Limited, 1948. First edition. Octavo, dark blue cloth, pp. 172; illustrated by Eric Aldwinkle. Briefly inscribed by Callaghan and Aldwinkle. Pale stain remains after removal of bookplate from pastedown, small bookseller's name rubber-stamped on endpaper, slight spine lean, page edges toned, spine slightly faded, corners lightly bumped, covers lightly marked, else very good in a price-clipped dust jacket, small edge chips and a couple of short tears neatly repaired with japanese paper, rear flap has been sliced through along edge and internally repaired with cellotape (which has acidified and left stains). Despite this litany of faults the book is attractive and presents well..
