Blue cloth, gilt lettering on spine (slight shelfwear), w/ d.j.s. (minor chipping head & foot of spines, edgewear, couple closed tears), still NF/VG- set. First edition, thus, 1 of 1000 sets printed, of this Gothic Orientalist fantasy novel set in the 9th century Middle East. Filled with demons, djinn, human sacrifice, lust, and power, this work originally published in 1787 in French heavily influenced and inspired Lord Byron, Robert Southey, H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, and others.
