New Delhi, India: R & K Publishing House. Good. 1977. Softcover. Fully intact but missing most of thin, printed glossy paper covering over it's spine. ; An English language edition of the ancient Indian manual of sexuality, emotional fulfillment, and general philosophy of love. Originally written in Sanskrit, the Kama Sutra has murky beginnings, and may have appeared as long ago as 400 B.C. The authorship of the Kama Sutra is generally attributed to Vatsyayana. This copy, produced in India, offers a series of black & white plates showing couples in various lovemaking or romantic positions in ancient sculptures or paintings. --- In stiff wraps backed in tan cloth. Leaves with a faint pinkish tone. An ancient sculpture of lovers appears on cover. --- Paper backing has apparently peeled away from the spine, but the volume remains sound and binding is tight.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; 181, (32) pages .
