Printed by C. Hullmandel. Published between: 1832- 1837.. Lithograph with original handcolor with accompanying text sheet, image size approx. 13 x 15 inches on sheet 14 x 21 1/2 inches. A few short edge tears, one repaired with Japanese paper, 1 1/2 inch mark on duck (color has been scratched), one chip to top edge outside of image, paper loss to bottom edge (where print has been poorly removed from binding) almost touching letters, some light spotting particularly at lower right corner (most spots are pinpoint size). A black duck with white stripe on wing. From the text page; "the present species retires within the Arctic Circle during the summer, and regularly migrates to the southern seas on where it feeds upon muscles, mollusca, &c., which it always obtains by diving. It is very abundant in the Arctic regions of Asia, and is reported to breed upon the banks of the larger rivers in Denmark, Russia, Kamtschatka and Siberia; it is also found in America".
