London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1965. First Edition, First Impression . Cloth Bound Boards. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 1965 First edition, first impression. Size 12mo, 192 pages. Black hard cover with gilt titles to the spine and gilt saint vignette to the front board, no dust jacket. Condition good, uneven fading to the front cover and spine, small bit faded to lower edge of rear cover, previous owner written on front paste-down, pages slightly toned else clean.
Synopsis
Vendetta for the Saint is the title of a 1964 mystery novel featuring the character of Simon Templar, alias "The Saint". The novel is credited to Leslie Charteris, who created the Saint in 1928, but the book was actually authored by Harry Harrison, a noted science fiction author who also wrote the syndicated Saint comic strip. Although Charteris is sometimes credited as co-author of the book, Harrison's official website indicates that the novel was fully ghost written by Harrison.
