About This Item

Three Hands Press, 2012. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine. I would have classed this book 'As New" except it has a few small marks on first Endpaper, the dust jacket is enclosed in a plastic protector is in fine cond. also. Black cloth boards with silver gilt to front board and spine. pages are as new. This is a very good looking book from 'The Three Hands Press'. (See Photos). "From inside dust jacket": Veneficium concerns the intersection of magic and poison. Of particular note to this study are the herbs of the so called 'Devil's Garden', which bear relation to the allied witchcraft concepts of the graal of Midnight, the witches' supper, and the 'Unguentum Sabbati' the flying ointment of the witches which has exerted fascination over scholars, historians and practitioners alike. Beyond consideration of the toxicological dimensions of magical power, the concurrent thread od astral and philosophical poisons are also examined, and their resonance and dissonance with magical practice explored. Veneficium will be of interest to students of magic, witchcraft, alchemy, botanical folklore, medicine and occult pharmacology. Just contact anytime for more info/photos.

About The Mason's Corner

I am a private collector of interesting, hard to find rare books mainly of a Masonic nature and related subjects but due too personal reasons I have decided to let my collection go. All my listings will be accurately described and contain photos of the actual book for sale. If you are in the States or elsewhere other than Australia please contact me before purchase of the larger and heavier books so I can check shipping costs. In most case I've tried to add the shipping cost straight onto the price of the book. Therefore the prices are not set in stone, IE: prices can be adjusted if purchaser is in Australia.Feel free to ask any questions concerning my listings as well as extra photo's if required.Glenn BrittenThe Mason's corner
