At the time of publication this was advertised as the definitive handbook to Europe's most beautiful city. It includes lively accounts of all the museums and monuments, plus the lowdown on the Biennale, Carnevale and other events; critical reviews of restaurants and accommodation in every price range, plus the pick of the bars and shops. Full colour maps plus plans of the major churches and the waterbus system.
