Ex-library with markings to spine and several places in interior (color plates not affected). Moderate wear to cover extremities and abrasions to front cover illustration, frontispiece fully detached with two small tears to top edge, text block and remaining plates clean and bright. A charming collection of children's stories in large print, accompanied by nine mixed media illustrations by Jessie Willcox Smith. Willcox Smith was one of the shining stars of the Golden Age of American Illustration. .
