About This Item
Amsterdam: J.M. Meulenhoff Les Meilleurs Auteurs Francais # 116 1st Edition Thus , 1951 ----------small hardcover (4-1/4 inches wide, 7 inches tall), likely issued without dust jacket, in French (en Francais). Seems to be the first time these 2 short police novels were published together, the second of which is an Inspector Maigret mystery. The cover and spine mention only the first tale, Viellard, while the title page also mentions the second, Temoignage. The frontispiece of Simenon is present. Included is a detached (never attached) 16 page vocabulaire/glossary, translating many of the French words and phrases into Dutch. The book is 98 pages plus the glossary, and is in red boards with black and white lettering and design to the front board and spine. There are some pencil notes here and there throughout the text and on the back board, apparently translating some of the French terms into Dutch. Reading crease, wear and chipping to the spine, a little soiled, a VG copy of an unusual book.. First Thus. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Note: our prices on Biblio are the LOWEST of any of the sites on which we list our books.

Books may be returned for refund for any good reason within 7 days of receipt, but I MUST be notified first, as SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS are necessary.
