Fine cloth first printing of first edition with gilt lettering on spine. No DJ. 1/4 inch light scuff to upper edge of spine and the bottom corners of pages 6 and 12 were once creased as page markers, but otherwise the volume is flawless. Gilt lettering is brilliant. Spine is straight and tight. No markings, tears, or creases (except on pages 6 and 12 as noted above). Bibliographic essay on sources. Index. 284 pages.
