Two small pieces of tape and slight indentations from old staples at upper border well outside plate mark, light soiling at bottom of image area, otherwise very good condition. With accompanying text sheet. A plate from the second edition of William Curtis's magnum opus "Flora Londinensis" (de Belder #87, Dunthorne #87), enlarged by George Graves and William Jackson Hooker. The wove paper in this edition is whiter than the laid paper in the 18th century edition. The plants are depicted life size, and include most of the British flora. .
