New York, NY: The Viking Press, 1968. 196 pgs.with mainly color photographs by Horst (few black-and-white). Original gilt lettered cream colored covers. Embossed title on front cover. "A Studio Book". Text by Valentine Lawford. Introduction by Diana Vreeland. Pages are clean (unmarked) but yellowed with age. Front hinge is creased (and text block is slightly pulling away from boards) but pages are still very secure. Boards have minor rubbing to corners. DJ is clipped at upper front flap. DJ has denting/chipping to head of spine, nicking/scraping to upper front panel edge, upper front corner frayed at flap,rubbing to extremities. Looks nice in added protective mylar covering. Features Madame Jacques Balsan; Mr & Mrs. Carter Burden, Jr; Miss Doris Duke; Mr. Henry Francis du Pont; Lord & Lady Eliot; Mrs. Charles Fuller; the Desmond Guinnesses; Horst's house on Long Island; Mrs. Nancy Lancaster; Marchese Emilio Pucci, Baron & Baroness Philippe de Rothschild; Duke & Duchess of Windsor and others. Nice reading copy and increasingly scarce. . Oversized Hardcover. Good/Good -. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

We accept Visa, MC, AMEX, and checks in USD only. Payment is due in full before shipment. Shipping cost: $5.50 media mail in the continental U.S.A. for 2 books or less. After that, $.50 for each additional book. Priority mail is based on size and weight of book. Cost starts at 10.00 but will be adjusted for smaller books that fit into Priority Mail boxes and envelopes. Oversized and/or heavy books may cost more. UPS/RPS or Fedex available at additional cost upon request. All shipments to Mexico or Canada over four (4) pounds is subject to rate increase. Returns will be accepted on a limited basis. If any item arrives and is not in the condition described on Biblio, or is not the edition listed on the website, we will refund both the item and shipping both ways - upon receipt of the return package. Otherwise, our used book sales are final.
