About This Item
London: Ernest Benn, 1925. First UK Edition, preceding all others. REVIEW COPY, with slip laid in.
Coward's first commercial success, a three-act play about a nymphomaniac and her drug-abusing son. The play opened on Broadway in September, 1925, and ran for 157 performances. Basis for the 1928 Adrian Brunel film starring Ivor Novello.
Very Good plus overall. Extremities lightly bumped, faint foxing to the review slip, and light toning and rubbing to the paper spine label.
