Binding secure; text clean. Despite noted flaws, remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable, with bright gilt titles at back-strip. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 18mo. 231pp. Frontis. "By the Same Author" Lists Waif @ $1.00. BAL 7350. Wright III, 2560. Blue decorated publisher's cloth. Titling in gilt with black inlaid designsat back-strip; in black with inlaid designs at front panel. Outside edges stained orange. Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'. Francis Bret Harte (August 25, 1836[1] – May 5, 1902) was an American author and poet, best remembered for his accounts of pioneering life in California.
