This book is the 4th in the series The American Seasons and is illustrated with 49 photographs by the author. It begins at the Silver Strand, below San Diego, in the far southwestern corner of mainland America and follows a winding 20,000 mile train to end in the extreme northeastern corner of the country above Caribou, Maine. ; B&W Photographs; 8.5 x 5.5 inches; 370 pages .
