About This Item
N. Y.: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1900. This was the first of three Paul Leicester Ford's romances for which Margaret Armstrong did the cover and decorations. Green cloth on boards binding with Christmas themed decoration, gold gilt lettering has a faint pink water stain near the tail of the spine. This clear faint water stain can be seen on the back of the frontis page. Bends to corners of cover but quite clean. Gift inscription to previous owner dated 1900 on front free endpaper. Text is clean and unmarked.. Presumed First. Hard Cover. Good. Illus. by Howard Chandler Christy.
