Octavo (20.5cm.); original maroon blind-ruled and gilt-lettered cloth; [2],354pp.; frontispiece, plates, and text illus. throughout; special contents on pp. 350-4 printed in red and black. Extremities a bit rubbed, minor foxing and dust-soiling, else Very Good and sound. The author's attempt to "focus labor's attention on the class war instead of the international struggle for markets" (EGBERT II, p. 281). The popularity of the book would lead to the author's being chosen as Allan Louis Benson's Vice Presidential nominee in the 1916 Socialist Party presidential campaign.
