Minneapolis: Washburn-Crosby Co, 1910. Paperback. 72p., printed double-column on coated alkaline paperstock, illustrated with sepia & black touched-up photos of food, of the big flour mill, of bags and bags of in-sack product with the label embellished with spot color, and numerous shots of a comely young woman in fetching kitchen attire, in different poses (waiting for company, possessed of enough flour, holding an empty bag-- "but the grocer has more"). Large softback, 11x8 inches, in tobacco-brown wraps decorated in dark brown. grey and red, has a cloth backstrip; handsome production in craftsman style. Upper left corner punchholed for a cord hanger, cord still in place but somewhat ravelled. Expect wear and tear, the cloth frayed at top and tail, corner-tips creased and a tip missing from titlepage, short marginal tear to back cover, rust-spots where sunken staples lie sleeping. One of the advertised "coupons" neatly clipped out. A good (good-only) copy of a pretty book.
