Mildly entertaining, a quick read. In the back of the edition I read, there was a whole appendix entitled "Questions for discussion". Really!? What was there to discuss? It's not as if this is Shelley's Frankenstein. Not that I have anything against the book, but I can't imagine anything more than a passing conversation: "Hey, have you read Water for Elephants?" "Yes, I have." "So what did you think?" "Um, it was pretty good."
