Description:
Paris: Editions R.I.S.S., 1931. Paperback. 223p. paperback, very good, in a toned and mildly edgeworn transparent glassine cover. Singerman 0221. First edition of this classic work of virulently anti-Semitic conspiracy theory, based on the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. Paquita Louise de Shishmareff (born in Paris to US citizens as Louise A. Chandor) spent much of her youth in St. Petersburg. She married an officer in the Russian Imperial Army, who was killed during the revolution in 1917. Moving to the United States, the author spent much of the 1920s and 1930s in fascist circles, using her family wealth to support right-wing organizations.

London: Britons Publishing Society. Good in Good dust jacket. 1953. Fourth Edition - Revised and Enlarged. Hardcover. "On the surface it would seem madness for millionaires to strive for Communism, but there is irrefutable evidence that they do so strive and in Russia have in fact created a dictatorship which masquerades under the name of Communism, while its only real achievement has been the liquidation of the gentile aristocracy and every Christian institution. The facts revealed in [this book], including the detailed plan for world revolution and world government, discovered long before the first world war, are so damning that no newspaper would dare to offend British readers by denying the truth. Hence the discreet silence in the Press and the slowness with which vital knowledge is spread. These are impelled by a spirit which looks back to the east, to the days of tyrant and slave, of luxury and misery, and incidentally to the suppression of western culture... The following pages are designed to cast light on these eastern undercurrents which have undermined western states." - Preface. Black and white photographic portrait of Sergius A. Nilus, who "published the first complete version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion in Russia in 1905." - Wikipedia. In this work "the genesis of the Protocols is traced to Asher Ginzberg, better known by his Hebrew pen name Ahad ha-Am, who supposedly wrote the Protocols in Hebrew in 1880 while in Odessa." - Singerman 0221.
