About This Item

Montreal, 1935. Booklet. Good. 48 p. 19 cm. Stapled paper covers. Some wear to edges and scuffs to front cover.

Company sold flavour extracts and spices. Recipes for soups, relishes, pastries, etc. B&w photos of Watkins factories in Montreal and Winnipeg in centrefold. A former owner's trove of clippings and handwritten recipes is inside, including "kidney medicine." Interesting recipe on p. 39 for "snow muffins" which advocates using clean white snow in place of eggs.
