Study of the life and work of the French painter, Antoine Watteau, highlighting his unique mastery of colour and rhythmic technique of line. Illustrated with 64 plates in colour and black and white. Bound in cream paper covered boards with a light brown linen spine. Gilt lettering to front board and spine. Slight bumping to spine and edges and gift inscription to endpaper, otherwise very good copy. DJ is price-clipped, with slight marking and edgewear and small tear to top edge. Book will weigh over 1kg packaged, so extra postage will be required for 1st class or overseas shiipping..
