Emily Kimbrough and Cornelia Otis Skinner were asked to come to Hollywood to help write the script for the film version of their 1942 book "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay" This book tells the story of their experiences in the dizzying world of Hollywood of the 1940s, including meetings with movie stars. DJ has lavender background with color-illustration of women with movie camera at top and in director's chairs at bottom front with a design of ribbon with hearts on spine as well, advertisement for "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay" on back. DJ has very slight wear to top front tip, microtear and nick with slight wear at bottom front tip, tiny nick and very tiny scratch at top front edge, 1/4" tear with very slight wear at spine top edge, tiny surface wear spot near spine bottom, very slight surface wear to spine bottom edge, tiny tear at top and bottom back edges.
