Eight page booklet, 5 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches, brown paper wraps, providing instruction in rug-making without a loom; text generated by an article in The Queen published in 1926 and put into practice by the author, Anne Macbeth, working with members of the Patterdale Women’s Institute. At rear of booklet are three samples of various weaves that can be employed in rug-making. Booklet contains advertising relating to needlework and fabric. Very good clean condition, with attractive samples attached to rear cover. An uncommon publication, providing photo-illustrated instruction on "loomless" rug-making.
