Quarto, first edition, unpaginated, printed boards quarter-bound in yellow cloth with green lettering to spine, illustrated by Robert Lawson, playfully inscribed and doodled on the half-title page by Leaf: "With all the best wishes of Wee Gillis and Munro Leaf." Second great children's book by the author of "Ferdinand." With original dust jacket. Condition of this book: Very good with rubbed edges and corners. Dust jacket only fair with pieces missing at edges, stains, original price of $1.50 is intact on jacket flap. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
