Hardcover bound in blue cloth with cover designs in darker blue and with cover titles in silver. The binding is rather worn and soiled from handling with smudge marks on the covers. The spine is toned. Inner hinges secure, and the text block is sound. An early owner's inscription on the front flyleaf reads, "Leila M. Caston." Some of the pages of text also show some stains and smudges from handling. Appears complete with four full-page drawings, including the frontis. The leaf for pages 41-42 is chipped at the bottom corner, not affecting the text. Part of the story is about Christmas and Santa Claus. We're not sure if Santa actually makes an appearance, but the children refer to him as "Sandy Claw.
