Booklet in paper covers that opens with a map locating "Mine Observation Stands" whereby tourists can view mine operations from vantage points along a 47-mile route between Marble and Eveleth, Minnesota, with the bulk of the viewing stands located within St. Louis County. The booklet opens with comments from Oliver Iron Mining Division President R. T. Elstad and progresses through a series of illustrated pages focusing on Iron Ore Mining, beginning with the Gross-Marble mine and progressing through Hibbling, the Sherman Group mines, mines in the Mesabi range, the Rouchleau and Spruce Mines, then focusing on the ore trains and hub for ore boats at Duluth/Superior harbor. Additional focus given to the Pilotac (Pilot Taconite Concentrator) plant that opened in Virgina in 1953. Very good clean condition. An uncommon booklet focusing on Iron Ore mining and processing, chiefly in St. Louis County, dating from the early 1950s. .
