London: Printed for the Author, 1813. A copy with outstanding provenance - see below; two parts bound together, second part in Welsh; Pp. xvi, 151, [1]; xv, 153-255. Engraved plate opposite p. xv in the second part. Bound in publisher's original paper-coved boards and spine with printed paper title label; a little general wear and rubbing to extremities and joints, spine toned and paper lightly marked. Contents good and tight, pages uncut; spotting to title and preliminary pages of the second part, otherwise generally clean and crisp. Provenance: From the library of Sir George Taylor with his pencil signature 'G. Taylor' to the front end paper [Sir George Taylor, former director of Kew, keeper of botany, British Museum, plant collector and botanist] to the front end paper, also with the pencil signature C. E. Salmon 1928 to the same. [author of Flora of Surrey]. A good to very good copy in the scarce original binding with excellent provenance. Title continues: "Part the First a Systematic Catalogue of the Native Plants of the Isle of Anglesey in Latin, English and Welsh with The Habitats of the Rarer Species and a Few Observations. To which is added an appendix consisting of those genera in the three first volumes of Flora Britannica, which are not of spontaneous growth in Anglesey, rendered likewise into Welsh." and second part title "Llysieuiaith Gymreig, yr ail ran. an alphabetical catalogue of the Welsh names of vegetables rendered into Latin and English with some account of the qualities economical or medicinal, of the most remarkable".The first Welsh local flora, particularly noted for its 'appendix' of Welsh names of plants..
