Slim 8vo., 72pp. Beautiful Stated First Edition of Wolfe's travelogue, bound in bright red cloth with gilt titles on front board and spine. Mapped paste-downs. Square, tight and clean throughout with a touch of wear to the heel but quite trivial. Colophon page in rear has some edge- tears and last page of text has a chipped edge though neither affecting any text. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket has some wear to edges and a few tiny nicks to extremities. Spine panel and edges fairly mildly toned. Still fresh and bright with no tears or creases. Laid in is an invoice for th book from Chapel Hill Rare Books from 1989. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
