(Frame size 16 3/4 x 21 3/4 inches; 424 x 553 mm.).A sweet set of illustrations featuring five vignettes and additional illustrations of dinner/food related scenes. Beautifully framed with a light blue printed mat with a metallic gold ribbon border and blue and white decorative ribbon embellishment.Jonathan Langley is a British illustrator, mainly for children's books. He has worked as a freelance illustrator/designer since 1974 in publishing, editorial, design, advertising, film, gift market, and packaging. He has worked on various publications of well-known children's books, including The Wind in the Willows and The Wizard of Oz.This artwork is from The Collins Book of Nursery Rhymes, which Langley was commissioned to illustrate in 1988/89. The book was first published by Collins (now Harper Collins) in 1990. Although currently out of print, The Collins Book of Nursery Rhymes has sold over 1,000,000 copies. The same artwork and rhymes are featured in several other editions published by Harper Collins.
