Previous owner brief gift inscription at bottom of half-title page. Cloth binding, map endpapers, illustrated with photographs, 209 pages. This second edition has a few different photographs not found in the first edition. Dust jacket in protective mylar sleeve.

Albuquerque: University of New Mexico Press; (1946). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, very good+ in a very good- dust jacket. Light gray cloth with green lettering on spine and front board. Top corners of boards are slightly bumped and a touch worn. The jacket has three internal tape repairs at stress points, and numerous small tears and chips at edges, but is about 98% complete. The author's experiences hunting in the Sangre de Cristo mountains as a boy and for years after. Includes hand drawn map endpapers, and numerous photographs; 209 pages. The $3.00 price is on the jacket flap; no names or witing in or on the book except for an inscription by the author on the half title page.

Exceptionally nice copy of this account of hunting mountain lions in the American Southwest - mainly the vast area of Vermejo Park in northern New Mexico. Tan cloth printed in green, map endpapers, illustrated dustjacket. Near fine condition with good hinges, firm text block, very clean pages, name neatly written at the top of the half-title, no other names or markings. The mylar protected dustajcket is not priceclipped [3.00] and also near fine with just a trace of shelf soil to the light background and a less than quarter inch closed tear to the top edge of the rear panel, no paper loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
