A scarce book published in 1989 about the Christian Sects and religious practices handed down from former slaves and later immigrants through the many demoninations found on the Coast of Georgia. Includes background information and the historical development into a more contemporary religious picture found today. This copy, which is not an ex-library or remainder copy, is one of the very few offered for sale on the internet. 265 pages, with notes, bibliography and an index. Book is clean and tightly bound, no markings. There are three pages that were turned down on the top corner. There maybe a stray pencil mark, if so, only one or two. A reasonably priced copy, excellent for research or collecting.
