London: Methuen, 1925. Tenth Edition. Original Cloth. Very Good +/very good. E.H. Shepard. A.A. Milne When We Were Very Young tenth edition 1925 is for sale from The First Edition. The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with marks and minor losses to the top and bottom of the spine and to the corners. The binding is in Very Good condition with the gilt lettering and illustrations being extremely fresh and bright, but with a corner knock to the top right corner of the front board, slight knock to the front board edge, very minor corner knocks, and knocks to the top and bottom of the spine. There is a brown vertical mark to the front free endpaper and to the rear free endpaper, which is normal for these books, and there is a small retailer's label to the rear pastedown at the end of the book. Otherwise the pages are in Very Good to Near Fine condition.

This collection of poetry by A. A. Milne has been delighting children and adults alike since being published in 1924.  While dated, most of the poems remain magical and relevant to today's children, as they are both simple and humorous.

I read these poems as a child; probably my first book of poems. I loved them then for the whimisical and magical feelings the poems inspire as well as the simple humour a child can well understand and adults still appreciate. The creative imaginations of A. A. Milne will always be cherished in my heart and literary appreciation.
