New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1895. Probable First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No jacket. 221 pages, with index and illustrated by 112 color hands played by correspondence between 16 of the best players in the American Whist League. Instruction on playing a type of bridge. Green cloth binding with handsome silver and red card illustration on front cover and gilt titles on front cover and spine, gilt all page edges, two color title page. Spine darkened with faded gilt, some edge wear and spotting with darkening of cover, corners and spine ends a bit bumped, former owner's name "Elise C. Kellcher, Nov. 21, 1895" on front free end paper, front hinge weakened and showing webbing at bottom third, interior pages lightly tanned, binding tight. A handsome little book.
