Woodstock, VT: The Countryman Press, 1983. Hardcover. 251p., ownership blindstamp on fep else very good first edition in cloth boards and unclipped but edgeworn dj. The Kentucky-born gay author uses a straight black policeman as his protagonist to explore issues of race and sex in American culture. This was his final book published in 1983. He committed suicide in 1985.
