Pierre Vallières was a Canadian journalist and writer, a founder and the intellectual leader of the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ). White Niggers of America was written under the guise of autobiography by Pierre Vallières while he was confined in a Manhattan jail for FLQ activities. A searing polemic on English Canada's oppression of the French and a call for revolution. Originally published as 'Nègres blancs d'Amérique: Autobiographique Précoce d'un "Terroriste" Québécois ' by Editions Parti Pris of Montreal, 1968, revised 1969.
