London: Hart-Davis & MacGibbon, 1977. Revised Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 1977 second impression of second revised edition (= ninth incarnation of the book in english). This has the same contents as the 1965 revised edition but the chronology of climbs is revised up to the Messner + Habeler quick ascent. SIGNED by Heinrich Harrer and by Anderl Heckmair directly on the top of the fold-out photo of the Eigerwand, each signature in the sky flanking the summit slopes (Heckmair's on the left & Harrer's on the right). Book measures 234mm tall x 150mm, and has 312 pages, 4 colour & 54 b/w photos (1 is the fold-out that measures 425mm tall x 213mm), sketch, index, chronology of climbs, pitch by pitch route description for climbers. Complete with all plates and pages. Original grey covers with silver lettering spine. Book is in nice, clean condition, tight binding, tiny minor bump lower outside cover tips, no foxing, no missing pages, no previous owner writing or marks on any pages except for signatures of Harrer & Heckmair. Original dust jacket is in nice condition with no tears, no chips, clean, no fading, complete with original price on inside flap corner. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
