About This Item

Avon, 1976. Paperback. VG-. First thus. David Bowie cover as a tie-in to the Nicolas Roeg film. Rubbed; some edge wear; reading crease on front cover; bumped corners; spine crease and rubbed patches on the edges of the spine. Really a quite nice copy - if you don't mind the fact that the previous owner added a bit of (fairly unobtrusive) underlining and annotations to the text..

Walter Tevis was an English literature professor at the University of Ohio and is best known for three of his novels, which turned into blockbuster films: The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Hustler, and The Color of Money.  His other books include Mockingbird and The Steps of the Sun which appeared shortly before his death in 1984.
