About This Item
Born in the tumult of WWI amidst intense anti-German feeling, the House of Windsor has since rooted itself deep in the history and fabric of its nation.
This is a directory, researched and written by royal biographer Kenneth Rose (1924 – 2014) of every member of the family, up to 1985, including the ones you've never heard of and many members of staff. It's an interesting and entertaining book, with includes 130 illustrations and photos. It was a wildly successful best-seller.
This is a first edition, 8th printing.
It is clean navy blue boards with a gold crown on the cover and gold lettering on the spine, 2 1/2 lbs.
A previous owner wrote her name on the front endpaper, which you could cover with a plate.
There is some yellowing to the edges of the pages but there are no marks of any kind inside.
The dust jacket is in excellent condition, with a few bumps but no tears. The spine of the dust jacket has some fading. Excellent condition—lovely book.
